Verdant Tree Services is a small tree surgery business based in the south of Edinburgh.

I enrolled on a forestry course at the Scottish School of Forestry in 2017, graduating with a BSc in Forest Management in 2021. For my placement year I worked on the forestry team at Dalmeny Estate for 9 months undertaking mainly practical work; using a chainsaw, planting trees, and doing general estate work.

During summer breaks from studies I worked as a subcontractor for various tree surgeons in Edinburgh, gaining valuable experience and expanding my arboricultural knowledge. I put out adverts and started undertaking my own tree surgery jobs around Edinburgh at weekends.

 

As of early 2023, I am working towards building a business which does consistently good work, provides great customer service, and is knowledgeable about all aspects of trees and tree work. The business is insured for £5,000,000 public liability, and myself and subcontractors are NPTC qualified - evidence of insurance and certifications available upon request.
